Here are the Top 4 Grizzly Hotspots on Going-to-the-sun Road in Glacier National Park! Powered by AI
I love Glacier National Park!

Ever wonder where the grizzlies hang out in Glacier National Park? I've been working on a new application, GameSearch-AI that uses AI to analyze satellite imagery and terrain data to predict wildlife hotspots, and the results for Glacier are fascinating!

GameSearch-AI crunched the data and identified four key areas with a high probability of grizzly activity. I've attached a map it generated—the red line is the famous Going-to-the-Sun Road, and the numbered circles are the grizzly hotspots my AI discovered.

Why these spots?
Here’s a quick look at why the app flagged these spots:
  • 1. Piegan Pass Basin: The app highlighted this expansive alpine basin because its snowmelt-fed meadows provide lush vegetation, and nearby slopes are prime spots for bears to feed on moths.
  • 2. Hidden Lake Overlook: This secluded basin is a hotspot due to its perfect mix of timber for security cover, open meadows for grazing, and avalanche chutes that provide early-season food.
  • 3. North Swiftcurrent Drainage: This remote, high-altitude basin is a prime location because the constant meltwater from a nearby glacier creates productive wet meadows for grazing throughout the summer.
  • 4. Trout Lake Drainage: Focusing on a different habitat, the app identified this lower-elevation, timbered valley as a key area for security and bedding, with access to feeding areas on the sunnier opposite slope.

It's incredible to see how technology can give us a deeper understanding of wildlife patterns. GameSearch-AI is really invigorating my curiosity to go out and explore new places!

While GameSearch-AI was designed with hunters in mind, its ability to analyze terrain and predict animal movement makes it an amazing tool for wildlife photographers, researchers, and anyone passionate about safely observing animals in their natural habitat!
